“WHY BE SERIOUS?”
Talented Company
The Frank Neil revue “Why Be Serious?” now playing at the Grand Opera House, is attracting large and enthusiastic audiences. Last night's audience thoroughly enjoyed the rich fund ot humour, bright singing, clever dancing and various other items that were supplied by a talented company headed b t v the inimitable American comedian Will Mahoney. He has the audience <in a continuous round of laughter with his droll humour and witticisms. An outstanding success is achieved, too, by Miss Violet Carlson, comedienne. Tex Morgan delights with his cowbov songs to his own accompaniment on the guitar. Whitey Roberts shows his ability in humorous juggling acts. Both Miss Evie Hayes and Laurence Brookes sing several numbers delightfully. Amazing cigarette and card tricks are performed by Jirnae, and Johnny Bryant is outstanding as a whistler. There is also an attractive ballet which moves with all the grace born of long P1 “Why Be Serious?” will be presented at a matinee performance tomorrow and again on Monday.
