Sharp Decline In Net Profit
Dominion Special Service CHRISTCHURCH, Januaryl9. A net profit of £48,190. against £6/,928 in 1937 and £68,055 in 1936, is shown m the accounts of the New Zealand Refrigerating Company, Ltd., for the year ended October 31, 1938. The drop in profit on the previous year’s figure amounts to £19,<38. Trading profit was £91,134, a decline of £21,279 on the 1937 figure of £112,413. The directors report that the balance available for appropriation Is £85,376 2/10 (including £37,185/8/- brought forward), which they recommend should be disposed of as. follows Dividend of 54 per cent, on paid-up capital, £34,99< /I/-; reserve for rebuilding, renewals, and extensions, £12,000; carry forward,. £38,379 I/ 10 - r. „ The retiring directors, Messrs. C. 1. Agar and W. S. Glenn, offer themselves for re-election.
