Damage To Hospital

Dominion Special Service. WANGANUI, January 14

Window washes in the new infections ■disease block at AA’augaiiui Hospital have been damaged by rifle bullets, presumably tired by rabbit shooters. The matter has been reported to the police in Gonvilie.

The isolation block is well away from the main hospital and is unoccupied, but ns the bullets must have passed over the hospital grounds there was an element of danger. The hospital board has erected a barbed-wire fence in the plantation to keep out trespassers who have been gaining access to the grounds from Tawa Street. Trees in the plantation have been damaged by pe.ople gathering wood.
