Wellington Market Quiet

N.Z. ISSUES WEAK

Little change was seen yesterday in the Wellington stock and share market, which remained dull and uninteresting. Business was quiet and the turnover unimpressive, most New Zealand issues traded showing definite weakness, while Australian issues continued to command good premiums on Melbourne and Sydney prices. . Government loans- were elack, with an easier tendency. Banka were quiet and National of New Zealand weakened to business at 48/C. Buyers stayed in at 47/6, sellers asking 50/-. Little interest was shown in New Zealand industrials, which were generally weak. Good bide were in for leading Australians, but sellers held for higher rates.
