Slight damage was done to the interior wall on the ground floor at the Club Cafe, Courtenay Place, when a lighted cigarette left in the pocket of a woollen cardigan caused a lire on Wednesday night. The premises are occupied by Mr. J. Sweet. The Central Fire Brigade was summoned, and the tire was put out without difficulty by means of a bucket pump.
