JAPANESE RAID ON CHUNGKING
(Received January 12, 1.45 a.m.) SHANGHAI, January 11. Nearly 100 Japanese aeroplanes, under cover of heavy fog, raided General Chiang Kai-shek’s Chungking headquarters today and claim to have seriously damaged important military establishments. The Chinese say that no bombs fell inside the city and that the damage was only slight.
