MISSING TROUSERS

George Davis, aged 30, who, with William Ingham, aged 27, was charged in Chelmsford. Essex, with begging appeared in the dock with a blanket wrapped round him. It was stated that while in the cells Davis tore his trousers to shreds. Each man was sentenced to seven days’ hard labour.
