Ministerial. The Hon. P. Fraser, Minister of Education, returned to Wellington last night from the Wairarapa. The Hon. W. E. Parry, Minister of Internal Affairs, left. Wellington for Auckland by the Main Trunk express yesterday afternoon.
Sir William Hunt, managing director of Wright Stephenson and Co. Ltd., accompanied by Lady Hunt, left Wellington by steamer express for Lyttelton last night. The Hon.' Mr. Justice Northcroft, Christchurch, accompanied by Mrs. Northcroft, arrived at. Wellington by steamer express from Lyttelton yesterday.
Mr. J. O’Brien, M.P. for Westland, arrived at Wellington by the steamer express from Lyttelton yesterday. Mr. I. Stevenson, assistant engineer to the Railways Department, left Wellington last night for the north. Mr. D., J. Cummings, Commissioner of Police, left Wellington last night by the Limited express for the north.
Mr. A. H. Johnstone, K.C., arrived at "Wellington by the Limited express from Auckland yesterday.
Mr. A. E. Flower, Christchurch, arrived at "Wellington by the •steamer express from Lyttelton' yesterday. Mr. W. A. Bodkin, M.P. for Central Otago, arrived at Wellington by steamer express from Lyttelton yesterday. Superintendent C. A. Woolley, of the "Wellington Fire Brigade, will leave "Wellington for Auckland tomorrow night on his annual leave. Mr. L. B. Bolton-Moss, managing director of Hamiltons (Australia and New Zealand) Limited, left Wellington yesterday by air for Gisborne. Mr. A. E. Knowles, chairman of the New Zealand Poultry Board, arrived at "Wellington by the Limited express yesterday from Auckland.
Mr. P. Stanley Foster, Christchurch, president of the Royal Empire Society, arrived at Wellington yesterday by the steamer express from Lyttelton. Mr. A. R. Hislop, Wellington, accompanied by Mrs. Hislop, left by steamer express last night for Lyttelton.
The Hon. G. It. Hunter, M.L.C., Christchurch, arrived at 'Wellington yesterday by steamer express from Lyttelton.
Professor A. 11. Tocker, professor of economics at Canterbury University College, returned to Lyttelton by the steamer express from Wellington last night.
Professor J. Hight, Christchurch, chairman of the academic board of the University of New Zealand, left Wellington by the steamer express for Lyttlton last night.
Professor R. J. T. Bell, professor of mathematics in the University of Otago, - arrived at Wellington by steamer express from Lyttelton yesterday and returned again last night.
Dr. O. 11. Frankel, of the wheat breeding station of the Wheat Research Institute, Lincoln, has been granted leave of absence by the committee of the institute to attend the International Genetic Congress, Edinburgh, next August. Dr. Frankel has been asked to give a paper on "Breeding Wheat for High Baking Quality” at the congress.
