A demonstration of the whole firefighting system being installed in the Centennial Exhibition buildings in Rongotai is to be held by the Wellington Fire Board during the first week in February. Superintendent C. A. Woolley reported to the board yesterday that it was hoped to arrange a demonstration this month, but the site would not lie ready for a proper demonstration for some time. Water main additions were at present being laid. The chairman. Mr: S. S. Dean, suggested that the board invite members of the city council and other interested bodies to attend the demonstration.
