Bad Smash in Australia.

Details of the serious accident at Canterbury, Australia, where live horses fell and two of the lending horsemen of Australia, Darby Munro and Fred Shean, were injured, arc to hand. Munro was riding the favourite, Rog.iner, who got on the heels of the pacemaker, and fell. Four horses came down over him in a flash, the third to fall being Miss Commend. ridden by Shean. Munro owes his life probably to the introduction of the skull cap. His cap was smashed but he escaped with a severe shaking and cuts about the. head and ehest. Shean dislocated the "outer end'of his collarbone, suffered shock, and received extensive abrasions. Miss Commend broke a leg and had to be destroyed.
