GIFT PARTIES

Bride-to-be Entertained

A number of gift parties have been given recently in honour of Miss Jean Head, Wellington, whose marriage will take place this weekend. Those who have entertained for the bride-to-be include Miss Beryl M right and Miss Nellie Head, who invited a large number of guests to a “blue kitchen tea” at 38 Darlington Road, Miramar. Mrs. IT. Bryant, Island Bay, was hostess at a linen afternoon and Mrs. G. Moult, Rex Street, gave tr pantry afternoon fop Miss Head. Another party, which took the form of an enjoyable gift evening, was given by Mrs. A. Clarke at her home, Townsend Road, Miramar.
