DR. EMIL HACHA, the new Czech President, was born in 1872 in Trhovy Sviny. He studied at the local school in Czech-Budweis and later studied law at the Charles University in Prague where ne gained his degree of Doctor of Law in 1896. In 1916 he went to Vienna and into the Administration Court. When the Czech Republic was proclaimed, he was nominated to be the second President of the Supreme Court of Administration and six years later he was elected President of the Institution.
