South African Veterans

By Telegraph—Press Association,

„ PALMERSTON N., December .12. At a conference of delegates from North Island branches of the New Zealand South African War Veterans’ Association held iu committee on Saturday night the withdrawal of the executive and other delegates from the Dominion conference in Christchurch a few weeks ago and the suggestion that a separate organization for the North Island should be set up were discussed. Subsequently a statement was issued to the effect that, while it was unanimously agreed that, the action of the Dominion executive in withdrawing from the conference was fully justified, it was resolved that the interests of the association could be best served by maintaining the present Dominion organization.
