ESPERANTO CLUB
Progress During Past Year At tiie annual meeting of the Wellington Esperanto Club, the Jionorary life president. Mr. IV. 1,. Ednumson, commented on the wonderful progress made in the club and by Esperantists in furthering n movement, the chief aim of which was to obtain a better understanding iinnong the peoples of the world. The t-’ocrelary, Mr. G. Blong. prt'sented the committee's report, in which was outlined the activities of the executive during the year. Visitors had been entertained from several yountrieg, and the club had gained materially by these contacts.
The balance-sheet showed that the club was in a sound financial position. The election of officers resulted:— President, Mr. E. A. Ilormblow; vicepresident, Mr. V. .1. Leek; secretary, Mr. G. Blong; treasurer, Mr. F. Bailey; committee member®, Mrs. F. Bailey, Messrs. D. Kirk, J. Major, AY. Kerr. G. 15. Ayson, and M. A. Garver. It was decided to visit the Hutt club during the week.and to have a picnic at VlininterLon on Sunday.
