WANGANUI, December 6.

Damage estimated to amount to £lOO was done by the weekend gale to the Wanganui Jockey Club’s new i&and at the racecourse. Practically every window in the stand was broken by gusts and the ends of the stand, which were glassed in, were blown out.

The new stand was in the final stages of construction when the gale struck it It is expected that the damage will delay the finishing of the stand for some time.
