The trade union executive passed a motion today expressing its readiness to negotiate for the re-establish-ment of social peace and added that the Finance Minister’s decrees have fully justified in view of the uncompromising opposition of the workers. Owing, however, to the general national and international situation social troubles must be ended and order restored. Industrial peace was urgently needed. Thousands more are resuming work, though the Le Havre seamen have passed a resolution to continue the strike.
