Mr. Hornlilow commented on an article which had a |i|ie.'ired in the Press under the heading "I'X|>erantists Take Courage," by Professor Arnold Wall, in which it was pointed out that the proiinneiation of Esperanto was remarkably uniform Japanese, Chinese, Turkish and Egyptian speakers of the international language. The president said that this was Hie ease, having himself met and eonversed with nationals in many countries during' his lour nliroad.
Mr. and Mrs. F. Bailey opened the entertainment period with an amusing sketch entitled "I,a Idioto.” Mr. Tom Coluinb and Miss E. Leek presented an excerpt from a circus turn, in which Mr. Columb was the strong man, but his wife (Miss Leek) was the stronger woman. Major McAlister and Mr. IV. Kerr in a twonet playlet caused considerable amusement h.v confusing a ship with a woman. The concluding item was a talk by Mrs. C, ffeck on tile beauties of Rome rind Pompeii. The club’s epidiascope was used to illustrate Hie address.
