ROSE DAY APPEAL
Each year as Novemlber 11 comes round, one’s thoughts turn to those who “laid the world away, poured out the red. sweet wine of youth,” and have. made “some corner of a foreign field, foretei England.” Armistice Day is set aside each year as Rose Day, which gives the public an opportunity to remember in a practical way the services of exnservic - men who suffered the ravages of war a d have had a hard struggle to hold their own during the past 20 years. of these men who gave of their 'best and sacrificed health and opportunity, are today in need; and it is only through the offices of the Returned Soldiers Association and the liberality of the public to Rose Day appeals, that they are helped along life’s highway. _ The Returned Solcliers’ Association will make its annual appeal on Friday.
