To Commence Homeward Loading The iShaw, Savill liner Arawa left Wellington late last night for Auckland to coni: plete discharge and to commence tier Homeward loading. From Auckland, the Arawa will proceed to Opua, Gisborne and Wellington. She is due buck here en November 23 and will go to Napier to complete loading. She will leave Napier on December 2 for Southampton and London, via the Panama Canal. RANGITIKI DELAYED. The New Zealand Shipping Company’s liner Itangitikl lias been further delayed and will not leave Wellington until today for Auckland. She is due at Auckland on' Friday to continue loading for London. TEKOA'S DEPARTURE. The New Zealand Shipping Company’s .steamer Tekoa is now expected to sail from Auckland on Saturday for Wellington to continue discharging cargo from Liverpool. She is due at Wellington on Monday. DORIC STAR FOR AUCKLAND. The Blue Star Line steamer Doric Star ■was expected to leave Gisborne last night for Auckland to complete loading for London, via the Panama Canal. SYDNEY MARU DUE TODAY. The O.S.K. Line motor-ship Sydney Maru left Lyttelton last night for Wellington. ■where she is due today to continue discharging and loading. KAIKORAI DUE TOMORROW. The Union Steam Ship Company's Kaikorai, which was expected at Wellington todav from Newcastle aud Port Kembla, via New Plymouth, will not now arrive until tomorrow. MATUA SAILING TODAY.' The Union Steam Ship Company s motor-ship Matua, which was expected to leave Auckland at 11 p.m. yesterday tor Rarotonga, Nukualofa, Vavau, Apia, and Suva, will not sail until today at the earn€6t. ARAHURA TO RESUME. The Anchor Shipping Company advise that they expect the steamer Arahura to come off the patent slip at Wellington weather permitting, .tomorrow. She will resume running between Nelson and Wellington on Friday, leaving Wellington at 7.30 p.m. DUTCH LINER ORDERED. The Rotterdam Lloyd have placed an order with the Koninklijke Mlj. De Schelde, Flushing, for a 21.090-ton motor-ship for their passenger service between Europe and Java, via Suez. The new vessel will be 631 ft. in length and her propelling machinery will consist of Sulzer engines developing 27,000 h.p., estimated to give a speed ot 21 knots, which, it is anticipated, will enable the voyage from Marseilles to Singapore to be made in 14 days, against 18 days upon present schedule. The vessel will have accommodation for over 550 first and second class passengers and over 100 third class passengers.

LONDON’S SHIPPING. During the week ended .September 23. 970 vcissels, representing 1,015.529 net register tons, used the Port of London. ARGENTINE PORT TRAFFIC. Details are now available of the shipping traffic passing through the port of Buenos Aires during the first seven months of this year. According to the ‘‘Times of Argentina,” the total was 1355 vessels of (>.224,804 tons net, which represents a decline of 743 vessels and 1.989,256 tons compared with the same period of 1937. Out of all the nationalities concerned Germany Is the only one whose tonnage shows an Increase —id vessels and 189,527 tons—while the British total has dropped by 023.735 tons (nearly half Hie total decrease).
