A rise iu the New York industrial index to the highest point of the year stimulated inquiry for industrial shares on the Sydney Stock Exchange, Prices were appreciably lirmer. Sales included : —
Morning sales included: Commonwealth Bonds, 4 per eent.. 1953, £1(13 5/-; Commercial Banking Co. of Sydney, £2O/8/-; Tooths Brewery, 55/6; Anthony Horderns, 16/-; Australian Gas, 102/-: Colonial Sugar, £47/17/6; Howard Smith, 19/4.1. November 8. On the Slock Exchange of Melbourne today there was a lirmer tone in leading industrials, but bonds were less active.
