WELLINGTON ACCIDENTS

An injured right knee was received by Mr. R. A. Nolan, clerk, Lyttelton, when he was struck by an iron pole in Lambton Quay at 3 o’clock yesterday afternoon. The accident occurred when the pole fell from a lorry after a collision between the lorry and a motorcar. The Free Ambulance took Mr. Nolan to the Wellington Public Hospital. . When he was struck by a piece of timber while working in Wiggins Street at 10.5 o’clock yesterday morning, Mr. J. Taylor, tunneller, 62 Darlington Road, received an injured right leg. He was attended by a doctor.

A lacerated wound on the chin was received by Mrs. N. Neill, 35 Connelly Street, Lower Hutt, when she wiis knocked down by a motor-car opposite the Hotel Cecil at 0.35 p.m. yesterday. She was attended by a chemist.
