PIANOFORTE RECITAL

Many people in Wellington will be interested to note that Jocelyn 'Walker, the talented Wellington pianist, will present a programme of pianoforte music on October 28 in the concert chamber of the Wellington Town Hall. This will afford an excellent opportunity to esc this young artist, who has attracted wide attention throughout the Dominion for her brilliant work over the air. Miss Walker won, at the age of sixteen, the piano given by Messrs. Charles Begg and Company at tile ’Wellington Competitions. Since then she has presented varied compositions from the National Broadcasting Station, including the bracket of modern pieces by Miriam Hyde, the Australian composer, which were heard for the first time in New Zealand. Miss Walker's programme will • include works by Beethoven, IWbuesy, Scarlatti. and Albeniz.
