POLICE CAPTURE OF MISSING CAR
Smart work by two police constables and a Transport Department inspector at Upper Hutt on Saturday resulted in the recovery of a demonstration car which was taken from 'Wellington on Frida v night. Constables C. E. Stewart and P. Dougherty were in the main street when a car passed bearing u number which Constable Dougherty recognised ns that of a car that was missing. Inspector C. a. J. Peterson happened to be nearby with his car, and the two constables enlisted his services. The driver of the car was soon overtaken. A charge will result. UPPER HUTT SPORT The Upper Hutt Rugby Club’s fifteen beat Rahui, Otaki, by 11 points to three in a match at Maidstone Park on Saturday. At women’s hockey. Upper Hutt senior beat Aromoho, Wanganui, by three goals to nil, and Upper Hutt juniors drew with .Wanganui Collegiate, ono goal each.
