Badges Again Change Hands Oiiee more the indoor bowling badges changed hands on Saturday after an interesting game. In contrast with previous seasons, the badges this season have been going the •rounds as never before. Every week sees the holders confident of retaining them, yet more often than not: they have been wrested from them by the challenging round. The contesting rinks on Saturday were: — Holders —Craig, Ricketts, Hart. \Yatt (s.), 17. Challengers—Moult. Estall. Ulmer, Conder (s.l, 26. Non-eompetitioii rink games played- on Saturday afternoon resulted as follows, the name of the skip only being mentioucd :—• Innes beat Wilson, 2-1-21 : Taylor beat .McCune, 21-20; Munro beat Tucker, 1816; Newson beat Wearne, 22-18; Hale beat Cayley, 16-15; Rutley beat Stonebanks, 22-17; Cooper beat Emerson. 2017. Inter-club Shield. Post-section play (first round) in the inter-club shield rink competition played during last week resulted as follows: — Parsons (Island Bay) beat Wearne (Wellington). 24-13. ' MeWliunnell (Hataitai) beat Lewis (Newtown), 18-8.
Lighten ler (Central) beat Cheesemau (Hataitai), 24-12. Wellings (Hataitai) beat Tucker (Victoria), 21-12. Haven (Lyall Bay) beat Ferkins (Newtown), 22-18. Hadwin (Hutt) beat Taylor (Hataitai), 29-13. Naylor (Hataitai) beat Perri’ (Thorndon ). 19-15. McCune (Hataitai) beat Cayley (Central), 28-15. Hale (Island Bay) beat Johnson (E’etmici, 20-19. The result of this round is that the winners were left with two lives, the losers with one. Only three games were played in the secund round of post section play. These resulted as follows:— Wellings beat Lightuwler. 28-17. Hadwin beat Raven, 31-14. Hale beat Cayley, 16-15. Further play in this competition will take place to-day, to-morrow, Wednesday and Thursday of this week. Intcr-house Cup. The latest results in rink games for the inter-house cup are as follows: — Globe Printing beat George Lang and Co., 20-13. . Ideal Dairy beat Atlantic Union, 2419. City Council beat Hall’s Boots, 29-22. R. Hannah and Co. beat F. Lamberg. 22-18. “Truth” bent Ford Motors, 18-13. Toup and Neilson (No. 1) beat John Duthie and Co., 27-14.
