Rain Affects Courses WATT CUP MATCH POSTPONED Club Competitions The rain on Friday night and in the forenoon on Saturday caused casual water to lie on several of the Wellington city and suburban courses. So doubtful was it that the weather would clear that it was decided to postpone the Watt Cup and Ranwh Cup matcher*, which had been arranged between Waiwetu and Shandon on the Waiwetu links. The weather turned out line on Saturday afternoon and conditions were again ideal yesterday. Manor Park Club The Manor Park links showed no signs of the heavy rain during the week, and competitions were continued as usual. On Saturday an IS-hole stableford was played and the results in the three sections are as follows :— Senior: E. Moriarty won on a countback from E. Butler, both players scoring 33 points. In the intermediates, S. K. Cochrane was the winner with 35 points, the next best being B. L. Woodhouse, 33 points. In the juniors, three players returned cards with 33 points, but 11. Linley won on a count-back from T. S. Baker and ,1. Kilgour. In the stroke competition on Sundaj' morning E. Butler was the winner with 69 net, with J. Logan next with 76 net. J. Mills with a net 67 won in the intermediate, followed by M, Hehnesy, 70. In the juniors, M. G. Turner headed some good scores with a 6-1 net, winning from C. IS. Wynne and L. J. Smith, who scored 66 each.
