“Finances Alost Unsatisfactory’.”
The annual report, which wae adopted, stated -that an examination of the receipts and payments showed that the finances of the club were in a most unsatisfactory state. The amount outstanding in subscriptions was the highest for many yeans past, and thio feature would need to receive the serious consideration of the incoming committee. It was expected that most of the other amounts outstanding would be paid early in the new season—in fact, it the club was to function successfully it was imperative that these amounts should be paid. The activities of the various social committees were reflected in the receipts of £6/12/- compared with £24/11/3 in 1936-37. Because of lack of finance the committee was unable to provide trophies for the various club events and consequently the usual “end-of-season” dance was not held.
