TRAINS DELAYED

Slips On Railway Line In Wairarapa Two trains were held up by slips which occurred on the WellingtonWoodville railway line yesterday afternoon. The first slip fell 10 miles north of Masterton at about 4 o’clock and other slips occurred while it was being cleared. The afternoon mixed train from Masterton to Woodville was held up until 10.40 last night and the 3.30 rail-car from Wellington to Palmerston North stopped at Masterton until the line was cleared. The passengers in the railcar were taken on to Palmerston North by bus. A boulder on the Manawatu Gorge line at about 6.30 last night delayed train traffic for about 40 minutes, but no serious dislocation of services resulted.
