“I think he must hold the record of being the last man to come home from the war,” said Captain ff. J. Clark, at the annual meeting of the Wellington South African War Veterans’ Association last night, in mentioning that Mr. L. C. It was agreed that a function should lie held next week in honour of Mr. Tennent, who was a member of the fourth contingent to leave New Zealand.
