CIVILIANS KILLED IN THOUSANDS
(Received August 31, 1.10 a.m.) Hankow, August 30. Thousands of civilians were killed and wounded when 50 Japanese planes dropped 200 bombs, mostly incendiary, on Kingshan, 80 miles north-west of Hankow, today. Seven hundred houses were destroyed.
