Closing Of Theatre Royal

(From “The Dominion,” August 23, 1913.) An Important change in the disposition of Wellington theatres will shortly take place. The Theatre Royal, in Johnston Street, will be closed next month, and the vaudeville entertainment which has so long been housed there will be transferred to the new His Dlajesty’s in Courtenay Place. The King’s Theatre, near His Dlajesty’s, will be extensively altered and redecorated, and will afterward amalgamate its present picture show with that at present held in His Dlajesty’s.

DI. Bleriot has invented a monoplane capable of landing properly, no matter at what angle it begins falling, provided it is high enough in the air to turn over completely. M. Fegoud, who made a sensational parachute drop from a monoplane this week, intends “looping-the-loop” with his machine. He will be securely strapped in.
