Auld Cup Competition
At the Basin Reserve to-day two old rivals, Hospital and Petone, are to meet in the Auld Cup competition. Both these teams are evenly matched and spectators should be assured of an exciting game of football. Qn No. 2 ground the Wellington representative women’s hockey team to compete at the Dominion tournament, opening at Gisborne next Saturday, are to play the Rest. This game promises to be brimful of interest. The proceeds of these matches are to be devoted to the city councils ground improvement fund.
