The Canterbury team differs slightly from the one which played Auckland. The forwards are the same, but the backs have been strengthened by the inclusion of L. Young and J. O'Connor, who are to be specially brought up from Christchurch. 'l'he opinion of the Christchurch manager is that this is a stronger team than the one that met Auckland. The selectorsure pleased with the way in which the Wellington team is shaping in training and feei confident that Canterbury will be fully extended. The forwards arc heavy and fast and the backs a lively combination. The curtain-raiser at 1.30 p.m. will be between Miramar, unbeaten, and St. George, the two leading reserve grade teams. Mr. Davies will referee this game.
