Skating
pATRICIA went a-skating At the rink in town oiie day. She felt so very nervous As she started on her way. The teacher soon came out, .And took her by the hand, But when he let her go. On the floor she’d land. He showed her how to move her feet, And how to get around, But they slid away beneath her And she landed on the ground. •She soon had had enough. And decided to go home. For she was covered in bruises, And ached like a broken bone. —Toe Dancer (11), Glenside.
