TWO MEN INJURED

Car Collides Violently With Pole By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, August 12. Two men were injured, one of them severely, when a small motor-ear in which they were riding collided violently with a pole in Mount Eden Road tonight. Both men were taken to Auckland Hospital and one was admitted, the other receiving treatment in the casualty department. Mr. Ernest Tereeen McGlynn, aged 23. single, was admitted to hospital with concussion and bead injuries. He lives at Mount Eden. His condition lit a late hour was fairly serious. Mr. McGlynn was the passenger. The accident was witnessed by Mr. H. Holmes, who was walking along Mount Eden Road. lie said that, the car struck the pole with great violence. “There w. b a shower of glass and a spurt of flame from the motor as the electrical equipment fused.” Mr. Holmes said. "The two men. both wearing evening dress, were still inside the car.”
