AN ARMISTICE FOR SPAIN
M. Blum’s Suggestion (Received August 13, 1.10 a.m.) Paris, August 12. M. Blum, former French Popular Front Premier, in an article in the “Populaire,” suggests an armistice in Spain for the withdrawal of foreigners. He declares that the people should be given a sovereign choice of political regime under which they desire to live by elections held under the guarantee of mediatory Powers. This would mean the deliverance of Spain from foreign aggression.
