FORECAST FOR TO-DAY’S WEATHER.
Fine, With Milder Day But Cold Night Temperatures. Following is the weather report and forecast issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, for the 2-1 hours ending at 3 p.m. to-day:— A very slight secondary depression is crossing the Dominion, but an intense anti-cyclone is centred over the New South Wales coast and extending across the Tasman Sea.
The forecast is for south-westerly to southerly winds prevailing; light to moderate mainly, but freshening at times. Seas rough north of Farewell Spit and rather rough to rough south of East Cape; elsewhere slight to moderate. Strong south-west to southerly winds and rough seas in the eastern Tasman Sea, but conditions gradually moderating. Weather fine iu western districts from Taranaki southward; elsewhere changeable and with occasional rain at many places, but weather improving generally during to-day. Milder day but cold night temperatures, with many sharp frosts.
