Mr, Costello, it is said, possesses a magnetic personality and he presents a modern entertainment ''which is right in tempo with the rhythm of 1038. He has the knack of making himself right at home with his audience the moment he steps on the stage. The grown-ups appreciate him as a great revue artist, and he is popular with children wherever he appears. One of the outstanding attractions in “Hello, Popeye” is that provided by Sid Page, Joey Porter, and together with Peggy Earle and Ruth Rudie, this talented quartette offer an act which is built for fun purposes only. “The Sublime to the Ridiculous” is the title of the brilliantly clever act presented by the Elite Trio. Like all the revues presented by Frank Neil, the work of the Sydney Tivoli beauty ballet is a feature of “Hello, Popeye.”
