EASTERN CARGO

Tasman At Auckland From Saigon via Singapore, Java, Port Moresby and Norfolk Island, the South Paeitic Line steamer Tasman reached Auckland at midday yesterday on her tirst visit to New Zealand. She is due jit Wellington next Monday to discharge arid load and will leave again on August IS for Eastern ports via Sydney. Johnston and Co., Ltd., are the agents. Built in 1921 by Earles and Co., Ltd., Hull, the Tasman has a gross tonnage of 4994. She is fitted with refrigerated space, and recently was thoroughly overhauled and modernised.

HAURAKI CLEARS APIA. The Union Company has received cabled advice that its motor-ship Hauraki, en route from Los Angeles via Papeete, cleared Apia at midnight on Tuesday for Auckland, where she is due next Wednesday. She will later complete discharge at Wellington, New Plymouth and Australia.

KAfKORAI FOR MELBOURNE. The Union Company's Kaikorai, now discharging Newcastle cargo at Wellington lias been lixed to load at Melbourne about September 2 for Wellington and Auckland.

NEW YORK SAILING. The Federal Company has received advice that, the A. and A. Line steamer City of Lyons has been fixed to leave New York’on October 8 for Auckland. Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. She is due at Auckland about November 10.

NAVIGATION WARNING. The Marine Department advises that the red buoy marking the Beef Barrel Reef, D’Urville Island, has broken adrift, but has been recovered and moored near M aikawa Hay. It will be out of position for some time.

KAIRANGA DELAYED. En route from Newcastle, Port Kembla, and Sydney, the Union Company’s steamer Kairanga has been delayed by bad weather, and is now due at Auckland to-mor-row.

OPAWA LATER. . The motor-ship Opawa is now to leave Auckland next Monday for Napier, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Oamaru, to complete discharge of her Liverpool cargo to the agency of the Federal Company. She is due here about August 21.

MELBOURNE STAR LATER. Delayed by bad weather at Bluff, the Star is now to leave there next Monday Maru is now to leave there next Monday for Wellington to continue her Homeward loading.

WAIMANA IN PORT. To continue her Homeward loading the Shaw, Savlll steamer Waimana was due In the stream at Wellington late last night from Timaru, and will berth this morning at the Glasgow Wharf. She is to leave here again on Sunday morning for Wanganui, New Plymouth, and Auckland to fill up, and is to clear the northern port finally on August 22 for London. Avonmouth, Cardiff, Liverpool and Glasgow, via the Panama Canal and Kingston.

CITY OF PITTSBURG CLEARS BALBOA. The M.-A.-N.Z. Line has received cabled, advice that the City of Pittsburg, en route from Montreal to Auckland, Napier, Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru, and Dunedin, cleared Balboa'last Monday. She is due at Auckland on August 30 to the agency of the Federal Company.

TROJAN STAR AT BALBOA. The Blue Star Line has received cabled advice that the Trojan Star reached Colon on Tuesday morning. She left Auckland on July 19 for London, Avonmouth, Liverpool, Manchester and Glasgow, ria the Panama Canal.

During the week ended July 15, IOOS vessels, representlns 05T,315 net register tous, used the Port of London. Of these 491 vessels (808.893 net register tons) were to and from Empire and foreign ports and . 517 vessels (178,422 net register tons) were \ engaged in coastwise traffic. The arrivals included seven meat cargoes—viz., two from Australia, three from New Zealand and two from South America, comprising 95.000 careases of lamb and mutton, 97,000 quarters of beef, quantities of pork, rabbits and sundries. Fifteen timber-laden vessels docked in the Surrey Commercial and India and Millwall Docks with 17,000 tons of softwood. WITHIN WIRELESS RANGE.
