Wellington Market Quiet BUSINESS DULL \'o change of any consequence was shown yesterday in the Wellington sloes and share market, which continued quiet, prices being generally steady at about late rates. Business was dull and a limited volume of dealings was recordedGovernment loans were unchanged, dealings covering two lots of ui per cent, stpek, 1938-52, at £lOl, and one of 4 per cent, stock, 1943-46, at ±lO2. Wellington Harbour Board 54 per cent, debentures, 1940, sold at £102; otherwise there was nothing doing in local body stocks. There was a good demand for Australian bank shares, but no buyers were quoting for New Zealands or National ot New Zealand. Australasias firmed to business at £lO/15/-, and Unions sold at £B/11/8. . , t , i A scattered inquiry for industrial and trading issues produced little actual bustness. There were a few quotations of breweries. Broken Hill Proprietary sold at 5'9/3, and more were wanted_at that figure, sellers asking 60/-; the 15/- paid issue was quoted at 4Q/6.
