“We believe in thrift, but we also believe in spending,” said Mr. L. G Lowrv, M-P. for Otaki, addressing n meeting held at Melrose last night under the auspices of the Labour Party. “If we were to practice thrift, as our ancestors did, the whole commercial structure of the. country would slacken down and almost cense to operate.”
