■Proportion of reserve (No. 7 less No. 5) to notes and other demand liabilities, 75.489 per cent., compared with 76.060 ■per cent, last week. . A further reduction of £2 1 8,889 in sterling exchange has brought the total amount down to £15,612,945. Gold , re 7 mains unchanged .at £2,801,791. Subsidiary coin of £231,505 is dwon by £-00-.. Advances to the Primary Products Marketing Department total £3,967,234, an increase for the week of £283,439. Advances to the State for other purposes remain unchanged at £600,000. investments are unchanged at £2,732,065. Other assets total £6-1,719, a decrease of £13,536. A further decline of £48,699 is shown in the note issue, which totals £13,545,859. Demand liabilities to the fetate amount to £2,589,550, a decrease of £500,512. The trading banks’ reserve balances total £7,972.302, an increase of £463,975, Other demariTl at £275,335 have increased by £53,115. This week the .bank shows liabilities in currencies other than New Zealand amounting to £BOB4. Other liabilities total £119,128, an increase of £13,048. The statement balances at £26,021,249, a decrease of £10,989.
