Wanganui, July 20. In a bright wrestling display before a capacity house, Dick Rainey and Lofty Blomfield drew, each securing a fall. Raines was the aggressor throughout, and continually had Blomfield on defence, the New Zealander appearing to be out of condition.

Raines secured the first full in the fourth round when, after a series of jolts, he rocked his opponent with two backbreakers to secure a fall with a press. Blomfield equalised in the seventh with an octopus clamp. Exchanges were even in the final round, and the referee, Air. Alex Anderson, awarded a draw. DETTON DISQUALIFIED IN UNEVEN MATCH Christchurch, July 20. Dean Delton was disqualified in a professional wrestling bout, with Jack Gacek to-night, for applying a reverse stranglehold and swinging Gacek off the mat. Gacek, of Winconsin, U.S.A., made his first public appearance in New Zealand, and it way apparent in the early stages of the bout that he way no match for Detton. In the seventh round the referee. Air. A. R. Craig, cautioned Detton for using a reverse stranglehold. Detton repeated the offence, swinging his opponent off the mat.

After the bout the referee said lie did not blame Detton for the performance. It was sheer bad matching, and Gacek should have been tried out before being matched with a wirestler of Detton’s calibre.
