INDIANS WIN

Hockey Match Against Otago By Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, July 20. The superior etickwork, ball control and positional play of the Indians prevailed against Otago to-day, when the Indians won a hockey match by five goals to one. The home side presented good defence, which for the greater part of play kept the Indians in check, and on many occasions, more especially in the first half, Otago set up good movements, which only the efficiency of the Indians managed to defeat, Gurnarain Singh and S. M. Hussain being prominent in this connection. ‘

The Indians forced a hard pace, but Otago did not tire, and gave of their best until the final whistle. The ground was rather heavy, and. this led Otago into some fruitless hard hitting. Denscm scored for Otago, with a good rising shot. Abdul Latif scored three goals for the Indians, his goal shooting being of a high standard. Gurnarain Singh and Fernandes also scored for the visitors. ARRANGEMENTS FOR FIRST TEST By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, July 20.
