■ The J. W. Martin Cup final over 90 holes was played at Judgeford links during the week-end, and a great contest resulted between T. Smith (Judgeford’s No. 1 player), and R. Gray. Gray won by 2 up. Gray, at the finish of the lirst 18 holes,'was 5 up. In the afternoon .Smith played 'brilliantly, squaring the match at the’ twenty-eighth, and being 1 up at the .thirtieth. The match was squared again at the thirty-fourth. Smith duffed his tee shot at the thirty-fifth. Credit must go to Smith, who gave Gray 12 strokes over the 36 holes. Smith did a splendid 72 in the afternoon. Smith struck a hard man in the final. The final for the T. Romain Cup was excitlngiin the second round. Cathie, at the end or the first IS holes, was 7 up on D. Hennessey. Hennessey then took a hand, and was 5 down at the twenty-eighth, but he squared the match at the thirty-fifth, and the thirty-sixth was halved. They finished all square, and now have to replay over another 36. Hennessey came home in 38.

Tui Glen Ladies’ Club The stroke competition played by the Tui Glen Ladles’ Club on Sunday was won by Mrs. Davis, 66 net, Mrs. McKinnon returning 67 net. Mrs. Young and Mrs. Purdie came next. Mrs. McKillop, playing in a bogey competition last week, holed out at the sixth, “I’otikl.” Mrs. McKillop entertained members on Tuesday, which was greatly appreciated.

The bogey eofnjietitiou resulted iu a win for Mrs. Ward, I down, in the senior division, and Mrs. Dykes, 2 up, in the junior division.
