DIOCESAN SYNOD

Annual Session Ends The annual session of the AA'ellington Diocesan Synod concluded in St. Paul’s schoolroom last night. The Bishop of AVellington, the Rt. Rev. H. St. Barbe Holland, presided.

Messrs. AV. E. Arnold and AV. Olphert were elected members of the AVellington Diocesan Pension Fund Trust Board. These men will replace Mr. J. L. Barnicoat, who has resigned, and Mr. R. E. Rawnsley, whose term of office has expired and who doos not seek re-election.

Tlie good services rendered by the retiring trustees during a long period of service on tlie board was mentioned in a warm tribute paid bv Mr. H. E. Evans.'

Tlie following were nominated for appointment as members of the Wellington Diocesan Missionary Committee for the next Synod : The Bishop of AVellington, Archdeacon F. H. Petrie, Canons G. Y. Woodward, D. J. Davies. Revs. F. M. Kempthorne, H. E. K. Fry, AV. J. Durrad, AV. Langston and L. N. AVatkins, Messrs. A. N. Palmer, C. S. Plank and G. L. Giesen, and Aliss E. AVatson, with power to add to their number.
