WEEK-END MOTOR ACCIDENTS

Two people were injured when a mudguard on a motor-cycle caught in the wheel at the corner of the Western Hutt and Normnndale Roads at 3.25 yesterday afternoon. Mr. J. AVatt, crane driver, 8 Aro Street, who was driving the cycle, received head injuries and concussion and Miss G. Crawley, Carterton, who was riding on the pillion, received abrasions on her right knee and right hand. They were taken to hospital by the Free Ambulance.

Severe incised wounds on the right temple and on the chin w‘ere received by Mr. AY. L. S.'Britton, teacher, 116 Rakiiu Road. Haiaitai, when two mo-tor-cars, in one of which he was a passenger, collided head on on the AVainuiOrongorongo road at about 11.45 yesterday morning. lie was taken to hospital by the Free Ambulance. No one else was hurt in the accident.

AVhen the car he.was driving collided with a concrete standard to the left of the southern approach to the Cuba Street ramp, I’etone, between midnight and 1 o’clock yesterday morning, Mr. R. A. Kent, 47 Cudby Street, Lower Hutt, received slight injuries. After receiving treatment from a doctor he was able to proceed home. The car was fairly extensively damaged.
