£2 FINE FOR CYCLIST WITHOUT LIGHT
It was u dangerous practice and a frequent cause of accidents from which could arise long and costly lawf-uits. said Mr. A. M. Goulding, S.M.. in the Magistrates’ Court, Lower Hutt, yesterday when fining Kenneth J’utter £2, with costs 10/-, for cycling at night without a light. Sergeant J. W. Mcllolm said that some cyclists did not realise that the regulation requiring u light existed for their own protection.
