INDIANS WIN 2-0
South Canterbury Beaten At Hockey
By Telegraph—Press Association. Tiniani, July 7.
The Indian hockey team beat South Canterbury to-day by two goals to nil. The ground was the worst on which the visitors have played, being almost u sea of mud as a result of recent heavy rain and a frost. In inc circumstances good hockey was cut of the question, but the home team put up a stubborn defence and their display was classed by the visitors as the best given against them on tl;e tour in similar conditions. There was no score at half-time, but in the second half Abdul Latif scored and Sultan Khan goaled from a penalty bully.
