Leg Fractured In Fall Fracturing his leg through a heavy fall on Saturday afternoon, Mr. F. McNeill, a supervisor for Cable and Co., who Jives at the Western Park Hotel, 'Wellington, was taken to hospital. Falling in Hill Street at about 1.10 p.m. on Saturday, Mrs. L. Mitchell, 60 PFpitea Street, wtis taken ’to hospital by the Free Ambulance suffering from concussion and serious injuries to both legs. Mervyn Kelly, a scholar, 27 Athens Street, Miramar, received concussion, shock, and a lacerated wound to the side of his head when he fell off his cycle near the Polo Grounds at 9.30 a.m. on Saturday. Mr. A. Syme, a warehouseman, 29 Kano Street, Karori, received slight concussion, severe wounds to the scalp, and injuries to his left thigh and arm when he fell from bls cycle in Birdwood Street, Karori, at about 8.20 a.m. on Saturday. While playing for the Marist Old Boys senior first division Association football team against Technical at the Kilbirnie Stadium on Saturday, M. Duffy, 6 Liverpool Street, a printer, received a fracture of the left leg and was conveyed by the Free Ambulance to Lewisham Hospital. Rugby footballers injured and taken to hospital were: R. Gibb. Main Road. Upper Hutt, grocer, concussion; J. Shaw, Hain Road, Johnsonville, baker, concussion and a lacerated left ear; L. Metcalf. 52 Mein Street, public servant, concussion; Fred Hunt. 192 Coutts Road, injury to the neck; A. Megson, Fort Dorset, a fractured right foot.. * ■ D. Penman, 5 Manchester Street, Wellington, a motor-driver, received concussion while playing Association football at the Basin Reserve and was taken to hospital.
