MONDAY’S WRESTLING

Great interest is being displayed in the wrestling match which is to take place at the Wellington Town Hall on Monday night between “Lofty” Blomfield and Pat Fraley. The bout must be regarded as the most important that has taken place iu New Zealand this season, and was sought by promoting associations throughout the country. When Fraley gained a points decision over Blomfield at Auckland a packed house was kept in a state of the keenest excitement from start to finish, the two big and rugged wrestlers throwing all they had into their efforts to gain the decision. Although Blomfield had no desire to seek excuses for his defeat there is no doubt that he was prevented from giving of his best' by the fact that a heavy programme of matches, entailing almost constant travelling, had made a severe strain on his system during the (lays immediately preceding the bout. On Monday he will be in the pink of condition and ready to decide once and for all whether he or Fraley is the better man.
